Golden Mean Divina Proporzione at the entrance to the Venice Biennale
Golden Mean Divina Proporzione, a unique work and the monumental model for Feuerman’s bronze, The Golden Mean, was completed specifically for the Venice Biennale and is on view at the entrance in Giardini in the courtyard of the infamous Paradiso cafe. The sculpture, which welcomes visitors to the Biennale and greets travelers from the vaporetto in Giardini, is dedicated to Venice–the only city that combines Renaissance art, science and the sea.
In 2007 Feuerman debuted her monumental sculpture Survival of Serena, also dedicated to the city of Venice, in the same location for the 2007 Venice Biennale.
Golden Mean Divina Proporzione remains on view through November 22. For more info, please click here.
